Didactic Course
Pre Symposium: Didactic Course and Wet Lab Micro Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)
Visual impairment and blindness remain major global health problems. Until now, one of the most significant causes that contribute to the escalating prevalence of irreversible visual impairment and blindness is glaucoma. In 2030, the prevalence of glaucoma is estimated to reach 4.2 million in population and 6.3 million in 2050.
The development of science, adequate learning opportunities, and optimal facilities become the basic qualification for ophthalmologists to grow and thrive for better patient care. Continuing training and education are essential to provide physicians with the ultimate skill and knowledge.
Especially along with the evolution of anti-glaucoma treatment modalities over the past eight years, which are more focused on micro-invasive surgeries.
Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (IOA) Bali Branch in collaboration with the Cure Glaucoma Foundation launches an offline didactic course and wet labs with topics focusing on Micro Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
